help guide you to the right oils for you if you are a first-time user

Some of us may think of essential oils as something that smells “nice”, sort of like a perfume that we would buy in a store. But unlike these perfumes that can actually be an irritant and cause negative mood changes, essential oils have the ability to lift our moods and solve some mental and physical problems.
Essential oils aren’t hard to find. The easiest way to find them is to simply use a search engine to locate sources on the internet and buy them off of a website. This is a particularly good way if you know what essential oil you want and are looking for a lower price than in stores. You can also visit any number of natural food stores as they will carry a wide range of different essential oils. The staff in these stores are also helpful and often are extremely knowledgeable, so they will be able to help guide you to the right oils for you if you are a first-time user.
So how can essential oils help you? In all sorts of ways. Some of the most common oils and their benefits include:
Jasmine: Jasmine can be used as both a sedative and as a stimulant. Jasmine can enhance either desired effect, depending upon what you need or want.
Chamomile: This essential oil is perfect for anyone who needs a little bit of soothing, or for anyone who is suffering from insomnia and needs a bit of help getting to sleep.
Lavender: Lavender is one of the most popular oils out there as it promotes relaxation (something most of us need!) and it can also act as both an analgesic and an antidepressant.
Bergamot: If you’re stressed or depressed, this essential oil is the one for you. Much like jasmine, bergamot is both relaxing and invigorating, depending on your need.
Romero: This stimulating essential oil is perfect for anyone who has trouble getting up in the morning.
Melisa: Feeling low? Try using this essential oil. This oil has been used for centuries to help lift any sad spirits.
Sandalwood: This essential oil will definitely give you a boost as it is both an aphrodisiac and an antidepressant.
Ylang Ylang: For anyone who suffers for panic attacks, this essential oil is for you as it is both soothing and an aphrodisiac.
Vetiver: If you have trouble sleeping at night, then this essential oil is definitely one to try.
How to Use Essential Oils
One of the reasons why people ever seem to use essential oils is because they aren’t quite sure how to use them! Three of the best ways are below:
Massage: This is one of the most obvious ways in which you can use the oils. All you need is the essential oil, and what is referred to as a “carrier” oil, such as almond oil, vegetable, or apricot oil. Simply mix 4 to 6 drops of any essential oil to 3 to 4 teaspoons of one of these carrier oils, and then massage it in.
Steam: To steam the essential oil, all you need to do is add five drops of your favorite essential oil to a water dish and boil it or place it on top of a radiator during the winter time for continual fragrance.
The Bath: Adding essential oils to any bath will enhance the bathing experience. Add the essential oil once the bath water has stopped running and slip in for an enjoyable experience.
